March 23 Happy Keaster!... oops I mean Easter!
Yesterday, the kids and I went to SBG's house for her annual Easter BBQ. They dig out the horseshoes and the grill and set everything up for the easter egg hunt. All the kids run around after little colored eggs filled with candy and goodies inside. When that was over then there were women out hiding beer in the middle of everything. Then the men scramble and fight each other so that they can "claim their been". Full grown men out there galavanting like children bringing home malt brew. White trash Easter at it's best. The kids cleaned up on candy and I spent some much needed adult time. That is time with other adults that converses. The conversation cannot be work involved. Just basic mouth spatter about nothing. It was blissfull to say the least. Seems like all I ever do anymore is work sleep kids. So goes the story of every working parent in America. All in all we had a terrific time. I have to go to my Auntie's House today. To visit her and such for Easter. To be honest, I really just want to lay in bed and relax. I do have to do laundry today though. Thought!! I'll take it withme! LOL. She wouldn't care but I'd feel pretty stupid, "Hey it's me, I'm so glad to see you! House looks great! Hang on while I throw a load of laundry in the washer! Be right back Auntie!" LMAO. I'm sitting here literally giggleing myself into hysterics here. God, I kill me, I'm so damn funny. March 12 Wow has it really been so long?Well everything started out pretty good. Kids and I packed up in that very sweet car and drove to Beatrice, NE. Hadn't made that trip in a long time, I had forgotten how beautiful of a drive it was. With the big blue skies and the wide open spaces. Also, when driving, there is also the Vomit Rocket. Also known as Doodle-Bug. I had even given him meds to help him not get car sick. At first it worked, then I think it had the opposit affect on him. He started throwing up and wouldn't stop until the car stopped moving. We made a pit stop at the road side park on the way, the kids and I just relaxed. Bug drank some apple juice and tried to settle his tummy while Toad and Princess-Tude wolfed down 1/2 of the food that we had brought with us. Finally, we got back in the car and made it to Nebraksa. I made it through the meeting, it was awsome. The little girls were so happy to hear stories about "nation headquarters". Even their moms and grandma's were. I never really realized how important this organization is to so many people. Makes me proud to be in the job that I am in.
The kids and I got back in the beautiful white highway smoker, and drove to Lincoln. We were going to try to find President Lincoln's house. We had decided that would be the first stop on our vacation! There there was poor Doodle-Bug. He was miserable sick. We ended up getting a hotel room and camping down for the night. Doodle started to run a fever. Ok, so maybe not car sick after all. By check out time, I had decided, vacation was over, let's head home. So four very sad Busys headed home. We walked in the door just in time for Doodle to basically pass out on the couch for 12 hours straight. At one point I called the local ER and asked for advice on what to do. They had a 5 hour wait time, they said it was better to keep him at home. Monday, he was well enough for school, and I called my boss and headed into work. I had a ton of work to do anyways. I returned the rental car on time though, I did keep it the entire time. I had already paid for it after all. And believe me we got our use out of it. One night, I just drove. I had forgotten how much I enjoy driving. Radio cranked, belting out tunes, and the kids chiming in right along with me. Vacation went to hell, but, we did have a good time in the time that we had the rental car. It was great to drive again. I was sad to return it, but, I can't afford to drive all the time anyways. My budget is set off of the bus. Gas is so expensive, 3.19 a gallon when I got off the bus at QT today.
Other than that, court with SmackTard tomarrow. He's trying to fire his atty again. We'll see how that goes. Court has been going on for over 2 years now. To marrow we are asking for a trial date to be set. Maybe it's almost over. Did I metion that SmackTard has a felony warrant out for him? He's 22, 500 behind in child support. Judges don't like it when you're that far behind. Looks like Smacky is going to the HoosCow. |
